Greg Howard - Tim Was Here

from E+SM Mix Vol. I by Evolver Social Movement

/

about

Greg Howard plays The Stick, an amplified two-handed tapping instrument invented and built by Emmett Chapman. Sometimes a composer, sometimes an improviser, always stretching the bounds of sonics and electronics, Greg recorded this improvisation (without the use of loops or backing tracks) for his live CD "Ether Ore" at Miller's, a legendary nightspot in Charlottesville Virginia, that spawned musicians like Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, for whom the track is named.
